GCompris is a free, open-source application for Linux that guides your children through their first encounters with a PC, using games and activities to teach them to perform simple tasks.

GCompris also adds a traditional learning component, containing different tests related with language, numbers, and physics.

This program can also be used in an academic setting, with administrative access to class, student, and teacher databases.
